UAE confirms private sector National Day holidays

In honor of the 52nd National Day of the nation, the UAE has declared the weekend of December 2-3 to be a "paid holiday" for the private sector.

Saturday, December 2, and Sunday, December 3, are designated as off days for private sector employees by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE).

Spirit of the Union

On December 2, the UAE celebrates National Day, which commemorates the official nationalization of the country and the beginning of the emirates' federal unity in 1971.

Fireworks are frequently lighted up downtown Dubai as the UAE flag is flown atop the Burj Khalifa. There is a lot of people there in order to witness the spectacular National Day fireworks and festivities. Institutions, shopping complexes, and malls are all decked out in the national flag.

To observe this day customarily, Heritage Villages have been established in the United Arab Emirates. Usually lasting two days, December 3rd, the day following National Day, is also commemorated as a public holiday.

At the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, military processions for the rulers of the Emirates, members of the Federal National Council, and Emirati residents are held with air shows.
