Next week, Philippine President Marcos will meet with expats in the United Arab Emirates

The community event is open to Filipinos who are at least eighteen years old and will take place in Dubai.

It's official: Filipino President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. will be visiting the United Arab Emirates and will be meeting with foreign nationals there.

The information about the community event, which will take place on Wednesday, November 29, at the Dubai World Trade Center from 5 to 8 p.m., was released by the Filipino missions in Dubai and Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.

The advisory from the authorities stated that online registration is required.

Participation in the event is restricted to Filipinos who are at least 18 years old. Both the general consulate and the embassy stated that gates will open at 3 p.m. and close at 4.30 p.m.

Attendees are required to dress in smart casual or Filipino attire.

"For security reasons, large bags, selfie sticks, umbrellas and other items such as posters, banners, placards, and streamers will not be allowed inside the venue," according to the warning.

In addition to the community gathering, Marcos is anticipated at COP28 in Expo City Dubai, where global leaders will convene to deliberate on the most critical environmental concerns. The dates of COP28 are November 30 to December 12.
