Good news for expatriates from Abu Dhabi Judicial Department

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, and Head of the Presidential Office, issued the Office of Justice Services in English in Abu Dhabi today as Head of the Judiciary. The Department, per Resolution 38 of 2023.

Counselor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, said the office's launch is a pioneering step toward simplifying legal documentation and making business easier, supporting Abu Dhabi's competitiveness. Internationally, the UAE's ease of doing business is measured globally.

He said they made this decision so companies wouldn't have to waste time translating contracts and other legal documents from English to Arabic. This was part of a larger effort to provide innovative solutions that boost the emirate's competitiveness, support economic growth, and offer their services online. Which speeds up and shortens the process of documenting and certifying English-language contracts and papers, saving time and effort.

Documenting corporate contracts, board decisions, meeting minutes, agencies, and English statements is simplified. The decision addresses the linguistic needs of non-Arabic speakers and removes the language barrier that prevents foreign clients from accessing judicial services, boosting investors' confidence in the judicial system and making the emirate more attractive to foreign investors.

The decision created an office that delivers judicial services that match Abu Dhabi's economic and demographic reality, reducing corporate costs, improving competitiveness, and attracting international investment to the UAE.
