Dubai flights: Due to the start of peak travel in two days, Emirates sends an alert

Travelers with flights booked in December are encouraged to carefully plan their routes; here are some pointers to assist you avoid the airport crush.

Emirates, the main airline in Dubai, warned its customers on Wednesday that there will be a rush at the airport starting in two days.

The airline advises customers to carefully plan their itinerary if they are traveling in December, as departure numbers rise during the joyous month, especially during the UAE National Day and Christmas holidays.

More than 75,000 Emirates passengers are anticipated to depart Dubai International Airport (DXB) daily throughout the majority of December weekends.

DXB claimed earlier this week that they were preparing for their "busiest winter ever" and that nine new destinations would be served by seven international airlines.

Emirates provided the following advice to travelers to assist them avoid the airport crush:

Select from the newly renovated First and Business Class Check-In spaces at Dubai International Airport, Emirates City Check-In and Travel Store, private home check-in services, or remote check-in options.

Plan and modify your travel schedule, obtain a digital boarding pass for the majority of locations, receive alerts regarding your journey, examine the menu, reserve a hot meal in Business Class in advance, schedule a chauffeured drive, and even choose and schedule movies to watch on Ice in-flight entertainment.

Check-in via the app and online are available 48 hours before the departure time of the flight.

Travelers leaving from Dubai have the option to check in ahead of time and drop off their bags 24 hours or 12 hours before takeoff, depending on whether they are traveling to the US. When it gets closer to departure time, passengers can head straight to the airport's immigration area.

Before a flight, passengers have up to four hours to check in and drop off their bags.

In addition to checking in up to four hours before takeoff, passengers can also check in their bags, pick up their boarding tickets, and purchase a Dh20 bus ticket to go straight to Emirates Terminal 3. Buses run frequently throughout the day, from 4 a.m. to 11.30 p.m. Travelers can go to their flight after they arrive at the airport.

Customers can check in at their home, hotel, or place of business with DUBZ representatives, who will then take their baggage to the aircraft, leaving them to quickly pass through the airport. Travelers may make reservations up to 24 hours in advance of departure and arrive at the airport up to 6 hours prior to the scheduled departure time. First Class travelers are entitled to a complimentary home check-in service.
