All airlines are currently using Terminal A in Abu Dhabi
With the complete shift to Terminal A, all 28 airlines that formerly operated out of Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) have increased the airport's capacity significantly.
With planes arriving at and leaving the emirate using the state-of-the-art amenities offered, Terminal A is currently the main terminal servicing AUH.
The new transport center can handle 79 planes at once and process up to 45 million travelers yearly.
The state-of-the-art amenities at Terminal A include 35,000 square meters of retail and food and beverage space in addition to biometric technology that expedites the screening and boarding procedure.
After 1,557 flights in the first two weeks of operation, 7,669 flights are scheduled to run from Terminal A in November as a whole.
December is expected to see a significant increase in the number of flights to 12,220 and a projected 2.29 million passengers using the new terminal.
"Terminal A will significantly improve the passenger experience while enabling international airlines to further increase their presence in Abu Dhabi," stated Elena Sorlini, Managing Director and Interim Chief Executive Officer at Abu Dhabi Airports. "Target A will bring new state-of-the-art facilities and a major increase in aviation capacity."

Terminal A: Where it is
Yas Island, Abu Dhabi's center of entertainment, is less than 20 minutes away from Terminal A. The city center and important landmarks, such as the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, are about 30 minutes away.
There is no need to make reservations in advance, and taxis are simple to acquire from the airport.
